Football in the Community's first England Football Day was a great start to the World Cup for England as over 40 youngsters came along to support England and play in their own World Cup tournament at FIeld Mill.

Two tournaments took place simultaneously for two different age groups along with a prize draw for the replica World Cup Trophy. Unfortunately, England didn't win either of the tournaments but Argentina were the winners out of the younger age group and Ivory Coast were the victors in the older age category.

Community Director Mark Hemingray said:  "Prizes were donated by the local DW Sports Store and we would like to say a big thank you to DW Sports for their support in this activity."

"We will be looking to host another England Football Day later on during the World Cup, results permitting, so keep your eyes open for more information!" he added.
