Community course to Manchester is fully booked
Football in the Community's trip to Premiership giants Manchester United and Manchester City on Friday 9th April has sold out.
50 local children will accompany our award-winning Football in the Community team to Old Trafford and the City of Manchester stadium.
The trip, which is among many organised by Football in the Community throughout the year, will see the kids be given a guided tour of the above grounds, including a look at changing rooms and other players' lounge.
Football in the Community director Mark Hemingray told mansfieldtown.net this morning "Trips such as these are all about getting local kids interested in football, and ultimately Mansfield Town.
"We encourage the kids to wear Stags' shirts on these visits and hope that they can enjoy trips such as this and become regular supporters of Mansfield Town.
He added: "We're delighted to have a packed coach. We have been able to keep the cost down thanks to the sponsorship of Andy Saunders (director) and Carl Bowdler (of Guardian Gas)."
The coach to Manchester will depart from Field Mill at 8am.
Football in the Community is a registered charity and is run by generous sponsorship from local people, and the funding from the Football League (which will expire at the end of the current season should we not return to English football's fourth tier).
They visit over 13,000 children in Mansfield and its surrounding areas every year. If you think you can help Football in the Community or would like more information on their courses then call 07977 428 147.
