Parking
No official car parking is offered at Haig Avenue. However, there is no shortage of 'on street' parking in the nearby area. Please observe yellow lines and other parking restrictions though.
Eating Out
Fancy something to sustain you for 90 minutes as our Stags reign triumph over Southport? The Grandstand Bar at the ground comes highly recommended for refreshments both tasty and reasonably priced. The away section is serviced boasts a mobile canteen for all your match food and drink requirements.
Mine's a pint
The quaintly named Thatch & Thistle provides a warm welcome to football fans both home and away. The pub is a two minute walk from the ground and comes highly recommended by the locals. (147 Norwood Road, Southport PR8 6EF).
Stopping over in Southport
A trip to Southport to see our beloved Stags dominate The Sandgrounders, together with a visit to some of Southport and Merseyside's famous attractions would certainly be a great trip. Why not stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel (Lord Street, Southport, PR8 1JS. 0871 222 0039). It is surrounded by a wealth of attractions from Hesketh Park and Botanic gardens to the Beach and Pier.

By Car
Head for J29 of the M1. Take the third exit onto A617and 1st exit over the next. Go straight on at the upcoming roundabout. Next roundabout take the 2nd exit, and the first exit on the next. Progress to roundabout and head onto the A623, then proceed to next roundabout and take the first exit. At Calver Crossroads, continue onto the A623. Turn left signposted A623. At traffic lights turn onto the A5145. At roundabout proceed to the A560. At roundabout take the 1st exit, then join the M60. Leave M60 at junction 12 and join M62. Leave M62 at junction 10, and join M6. Leave M6 at junction 26, at roundabout take the 1st exit. Leave M58 at junction 3, then at roundabout take the A570.At traffic signals turn left onto the A577. Take left hand lane for Southport Road. At roundabout take the 1st exit and exit onto Meols Cop Road and left onto Haig Avenue.
By Public Transport
The nearest Train station is Meols Cop which is on the Manchester to Southport line is only a 10 minute walk. Southport station is in the centre of the town and is a 20 minute walk from Haig Avenue.
