Destination

Kingfield Sports Ground, Kingfield Rd, Woking, Surrey, GU22 9AA,

Distance to Ground

129 miles

Parking

Football fans are recommended to use the Heathside multi-storey car park located near the station, behind the Magistrates Court and Police Station. There are always plenty of spaces. The ground is about a 15 minutes walk from Heathside - follow the directions for rail travellers. Alternatively, you could try your luck at the Leisure Centre car park, but this tends to be very busy on Saturdays.

Eating out

Woking has a bar just behind the main stand. It also shows Sky Sports should you want to catch up with the day's other fixtures. However, away fans are not allowed in when segregation is applied. The Kingfield Arms pub is only a few minutes away. Similarly, it has all the sports channels on three screens. Good old-fashioned ice-cream is sold from a van at the leisure centre on sunny Saturdays. Woking town centre offers an incredible variety of international cuisine - Barcelona or Charlie's near the station and Heathside parking are highly recommended, as well as numerous genuinely Italian pizza places and cafes.

Mine's a pint

The Sovereign is a great pub to stop for a drink on the way to the stadium. It's conveniently located for both station and Heathside, as well as listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. The town centre is quarter an hour from Kingfield Stadium and has numerous pubs, including Wetherspoons with the usual bargains and O'Neill's, good for a Guinness.

Stopping over in Woking?

Woking has a large four-star Holiday Inn with prices starting from £69 - this includes use of a fitness centre. Surrey's biggest town, Guilford, lies just a few miles away with a good range of accommodation on offer as well as vibrant nightlife. There are numerous B&Bs located in Woking itself, scenic Arden being a tried and tested choice.

Travel Information

Car…

Head onto the M1. After a 111-mile drive, exit onto M25 toward M4/M40 at junction 6a.  At junction 11, take the A320 exit to Woking. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto A320, St Peter's Way. A320 takes you straight to Heathside car park - just follow it through Guildford Road, Chertsey Road and Victoria Way. City centre parking is located just after the railway bridge, behind the Magistrates Court, on the corner of Victoria Way and Oriental Road.

Train…

The ground is about 15 minutes from the station or five by taxi. At Woking station, you need to get to the side with tall brand new residential buildings and an M&S.  Keep walking uphill on Oriental Road which soon becomes Guildford Road - you will pass the magistrates court and police station. Keep going for about 5 minutes until you see the park gate on your left. Enter the park and keep to the right, heading towards the leisure centre. Pass the leisure centre car park and follow signs for Woking FC. The walkway through the park will take you right to the stadium entrance.
