Altrincham v Stags | 23 September 2008 | Blue Square Premier

Moss Lane
Altrincham
Cheshire
WA15 8AP

Distance to ground:

59.4 miles

Parking:

There is very little parking at the ground itself. In nearby Urban Road there is the Blessed Thomas Holford School which allows cars to park there at a cost of £1. Otherwise street parking.

Eating out:

After two years of closure, the fully refurbished Victoria reopened in mid-2006. It's a small, one-roomed pub, with the bar to one side, and what the owners call 'the restaurant' the other.  As well as the main menu, which is changed every eight weeks, there's a lunch menu of sandwiches, salads and other quick-to-prepare dishes. Starters might well include sarsaparilla-glazed pork ribs; smoked duck pikelet; and kipper and poached egg salad.  Among the main courses are possibilities such as steamed pink veal pudding; shoulder of mutton hotpot; oven-roasted monkfish; and goat's cheese and butternut squash ravioli, while typical puddings are brandy-soaked spotted dick; and white chocolate and gingernut cheesecake. If traveling by car it would only take 5 minutes and approx 8 miles from the ground

Mine's a pint:

There is a bar inside the ground called the Noel White Suite, which is situated under the Main Stand. It welcomes all fans, but is not available at half time. Otherwise in Moss Road there a couple of pubs nearby; called the 'King George' and the 'Bridge Inn'. The King George is further up Moss Lane past the allotments, whilst 'The Bridge' is the other way up Moss Lane, near Tesco and the station.

Stopping over in Altrincham?

Brooklands Lodge is a comfortably furnished accommodation that includes thoughtful extras to provide a home from home. Breakfast can be taken either in your room or in the attractive dining room.3.9 miles from the ground and approx 7 minutes in the car
