Stockport County v Stags
Tuesday 19 February 2008 | kick off: 7:45pm
Edgeley Park, Hardcastle Road, Stockport, SK3 9DD
In and around Edgeley Park
Our fans will be housed in the Railway End at one end of the ground. In this stand 1,558 supporters can be accommodated. This stand used to be terracing but has now been made all seated. The bad thing about this stand is that it has no roof making it open to all weather conditions.
The facilities within the stand are of a good standard with modern toilets, whilst the refreshment kiosks offer a wide range of pies including Football's Famous Chicken and Balti Pie.
For a drink before the game there is a labour club situated on the corner of the Railway End. This is open to all away supporters but does charge a small entry fee. If you fancy an alternative option the main road opposite from the away end has several pubs which all allow visiting supporters.
If you are a plane spotter then this could well be the ground for you. During the game you can expect to see large aeroplanes taking off from the nearby Manchester Airport.
Directions
M6 to junction 19. Take the A556 towards Manchester/Altrincham. Then join the M56 towards Manchester Airport. After a few miles leave the M56 and join the M60 towards Stockport. Leave the M60 at Junction 1 and head towards Stockport. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights to go onto the A560 towards Cheadle. Then turn left into Edgeley Road (there is a pub on the left hand corner at the lights at this junction). The ground is down this road on the right.
