Saturday 12 January 2008 | kick off: 3pm
The Deva Stadium, Bumpers Lane, Chester, Cheshire, CH1 4LT
In and around the Deva Stadium
The Deva Stadium is 16 years old, and all four stands are covered. In most games, away fans are allocated the whole of the APC Overnight South Stand and part of the Liversage West Stand.Around 1,200 places are available in total, with just under 800 in the South Stand and the remainder in the West. There are some strange but true facts about the Deva Stadium.Firstly, most of the ground (apart from half the East Stand and the club offices) is in actually situated in Wales. The other interesting fact is that 171 doors, 48,000 bricks and 4.5 tons of nails and screws were used in the construction of the stadium.
Chester's social club no longer allows away fans, unfortunately. There are no pubs close to the ground so it will mean a 15 minute walk into the city centre to find a local hostelry. Recommended pubs include 'The Coach and Horses' and 'The Dublin Packet' near the Town Hall.
