SAFETY GUIDANCE:

Whilst there is no statutory legislation relating to the age of spectators entering a football ground, it seems prudent that the club should have guidance relating to this as part of its written Safety Policy. The following guidelines will be appended to said policy under Section C - Safety Objectives, specifically: C3 Crowd management.

- The minimum age for unsupervised entry to the football ground is 13 years.
- Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Children under the age of 5 years may be admitted to the ground at the discretion of the Safety Officer and upon the Parent/Guardian obtaining a matchday ticket or season ticket.
- Any person seeking entry to the ground through a turnstile with a child under the age of five years (or appearing to be under the age of five) - the turnstile operator or Safety Steward outside the ground will inform a supervisory Safety Steward that they have a person with a child under five years of age seeking entry to the ground.
- The supervisor will contact the Safety Officer for permission to enter and to make arrangements for safe seating. Entry will only be allowed after this contact has been made and a seating position has been allocated.
- Other entry situations: If a member of the club, playing or other staff, wishes to bring children under the age of five years into the ground on a matchday they should inform the Safety Officer of their intent to do this and the location of said under fives.
- The Safety Officer will ensure that children under the age of five years are recorded in the matchday attendance log.

CLUB'S TICKETING STRATEGY

Mansfield Town will seek innovative ways to widen the spectator access to our fixtures, which take place at One Call Stadium. The club shall offer an appropriate band of ticket prices.

MTFC operates an all-ticket policy at the turnstiles for both home and visiting supporters (cashless turnstiles).

Supporters wishing to purchase home matchday tickets may do so either:

  • In person at One Call Stadium, Quarry Lane, Mansfield
  • By telephone on 01623 482 482 (option 1)
  • Online via mansfieldtownfc.ktckts.com

Those supporters who purchase tickets by telephone can either collect their tickets at One Call Stadium or have them sent out by post to the address provided at the time of purchase, for an additional charge of £3 (secure tracking postal charge).

For a weekend match, the latest time that tickets will be sent out by post is at 5pm on the Monday prior to the fixture. For a midweek match, the latest time that tickets will be sent out by post is at 5pm on the Wednesday prior to the fixture.

Mansfield Town intends to make at least 5% of tickets for every home match available to non-season ticket holders. However, the club reserves the right to vary arrangements at its discretion for individual matches, but as much notice as possible will be given.

SPECIFIC STRATEGY

Visiting clubs will receive their ticket allocation three weeks prior to their visit to One Call Stadium for sale to their supporters with the following advice from the MTFC ticket office manager.

For games where the away attendance will be high, and where the away attendance is expected to contain a high percentage of risk supporters, MTFC will endeavour to work with the visiting club’s ticket office to ensure that:

Option 1:

  • Risk groups (where known) are sold tickets for Block E in the away stand (This block is furthest from the home stands).
  • Official supporter groups (where memberships are required) are sold tickets in Blocks C and D in the away stand.
  • Subsequent sales will be for Blocks B and A (in that order).
  • MTFC will retain 10% of the seating allocation to compensate for supporters who refuse to use the allocated seating provided.
  • This 10% will include the front row (Row A) across the entire away stand. This helps to prevent any standing in the front walk way.

Option 2:

  • Where there may be insufficient numbers to fill the entire stand, but the attendance is likely to be higher than 600, the visiting clubs ticket office will be allocated appropriate tickets and advised to sell in the order - Blocks C, D and then B.
  • The front row (Row A) across the entire away stand will be netted off. This helps to prevent any standing in the front walk way.

Option 3:

  • For attendances in the region of 200 to 600 the visiting club ticket office will be sent tickets for blocks C and D only.
  • The front row (Row A) across the entire away stand will be netted off. This helps to prevent any standing in the front walk way.

Option 4:

  • For expected attendances between 200 and 300, tickets for block C only will be provided to the visiting club.
  • The front row (Row A) across the entire away stand will be netted off. This helps to prevent any standing in the front walk way.

MISCELLANEOUS

Supporters who are U14 will not be sold tickets for the Ian Greaves Upper tier blocks N, P, Q or R unless accompanied by an adult with an adjoining seat ticket.

Adult supporters who purchase season tickets should consider this at the time of purchase.

The club will relocate tickets on a match-by-match basis if required to allow minors to sit with parents or guardians.

Furthermore, the club will implement that supporters who are under 13 years of age will only be sold tickets when accompanied by an adult with a valid adjoining seat ticket.

Adult supporters who purchase season tickets should consider this at the time of purchase.

Junior season tickets will not be sold unless accompanied with an adjoining adult season ticket.

The club will relocate tickets on a match by match basis if required to allow minors to sit with parents or guardians. Minors under the age of 13 will not be admitted through the turnstiles without the accompanying adult.

The decision to implement this policy has not been taken lightly, and whilst it may seem to be onerous in the first instance it will allow the club to comply with its Duty of Care to U18 supporters and to ensure that all National Safeguarding guidelines and procedures are followed by the club.

This is a legal duty and we ask that parents and guardians help us to comply with legislation by assisting U18 supporters to both obtain and complete the membership form either online or via the club ticket office.
