Stags’ defender Corbin Shires has joined Carlton Town on a one-month loan deal.
Shires, 18, has made one first team appearance this season in the 4-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough back in August.
The youngster became an important part of John Dempster’s youth team prior to Christmas, before succumbing to a knee injury in the thrilling 4-3 FA Youth Cup win over Dereham Town.
The Sheffield-born defender, who spent a month with the Millers last season, has linked up with the Evo-Stik club until February 13.
