As part of the new FdSc Sports Science degree at Brooksby Melton College; an exciting opportunity to supplement your academic ability with practical experience is on offer. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to work alongside Mansfield Town academy squads, providing strength and conditioning support to the academy. 

This opportunity is designed to assist students who have a passion and interest in strength and conditioning to gain industry experience within a professional football club.

All applicants must apply to join the FdSc/Bsc (hons) Sports Science at Brooksby Melton College through the normal UCAS application. 

Implementing individualised strength and conditioning programming during both the off and in-season periods including both gym and field based training. 

Providing injury rehabilitation training of players in conjunction with specific guidelines laid down by the physiotherapist, in preparation for return to play. 

Monitoring gym-based workload through recording GPS data, RPE’s or volume loads within the gym. 

To undertake a comprehensive battery of fitness testing designed to cover all aspects of player performance and use the results to drive training programmes and individual fitness reporting. 

Full training will be provided to allow you to become competent in this role.
