Stant to play in charity match

22 April 2014

Club legend Phil Stant is set to star in this year's charity match in aid of SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors & Families Association).

A Mansfield Town XI, which will feature manager Paul Cox, first team coach Richard Cooper, captain/assistant manager Adam Murray and a host of other first team stars will face a SSAFA XI, captained by Stant, our prolific marksman from the early 1990s.

This year, the event will take place on Sunday 04 May at One Call Stadium and there will be a whole host of activities taking place throughout the day, suitable for all the family. Kick off is at 12 noon.

Prior to the match, there will be live entertainment from Kirkby Brass Band, who are performing pitchside at 11.30am. Live half-time entertainment will be announced soon.

Afterwards, ‘Brothers of Soul’ will be providing post-match entertainment in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar between 3.00pm and 5.00pm, where food is also available.

It’s sure to be a great day for all the family, so make sure you don’t miss out! Tickets are priced at £4 adults and £2 concessions and will be available to purchase on the day.
