Experienced non-league side emerge as easy winners.
Our youth team experienced defeat in their penultimate pre-season game - going down 4-0 at local non-league side Shirebrook Town last season.
Shirebrook, who were vastly more experienced, found themselves three goals to the good by half-time - despite the best efforts of Sam Wilson in the Stags' goal.
Stags went closest to scoring through Devante Reittie, who had a couple of efforts saved, and Louis Danquah who unleashed a shot into the side-netting just after the half-hour mark.
The second half was a much more tame affair, but Shirebrook added a fourth goal on the stroke of the final whistle.
Our final pre-season match is away at Heanor Town on Tuesday 04 August (7.30pm).
