Young defender joins on emergency loan until New Year.
We are delighted to announce the signing of versatile youngster Kieron Freeman, who joins us on a 93-day loan from Sky Bet Championship side Derby County.The 22-year-old is no stranger to One Call Stadium or boss Paul Cox, having featured on nine occasions for us in the Conference Premier during a loan spell in the 2011/12 campaign.
Born locally in Arnold, Freeman is primarily a full-back, but can also play in other roles if required.
He is eligible to head straight into the squad for tomorrow's home match with Accrington Stanley.
Despite his tender years, Freeman boasts good experience, having made 25 appearances for the Rams in the second-tier, as well as spending time on loan at Notts County and Sheffield United in Sky Bet League One in recent years.
He is eligible to stay with us until midnight on Saturday 03 January.
Manager Paul Cox said: "Having worked with Kieron before, I know we are bringing someone to the club who has good qualities, both as a person and a player. He will be a quality addition to our squad.
