We are pleased to announce that midfielder Jack Blake has joined us on a one-month loan from Nottingham Forest.
The 19-year-old has been a prominent figure in Forest’s development squad this term, and is a creative, skilful and ball-playing midfielder.
Blake also helped his parent club reach the Semi-Final of the FA Youth Cup in the 2012/13 campaign, where they narrowly lost on penalties to Norwich.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of playing in League Two,” said the youngster.
“There’s nothing like playing first team football and for Mansfield to give me this opportunity is excellent for me. I understand that I have to work my way into the team and earn the respect of the other players here.”
Blake, whose transfer was confirmed this morning, could make his professional debut for us later this afternoon when we visit Torquay United.
