Stags renew radio deal with Mansfield 103.2

31 July 2014

Mansfield Town are pleased to announce that the club and Mansfield 103.2 have renewed their partnership ahead of the new Football League campaign.

The deal will see exclusive commentary of all Stags’ away matches in the coming months.

The agreement, which will run throughout the forthcoming season – inclusive of the Play-Offs should the club qualify, follows a hugely-successful partnership during the club’s first year back in the Football League.

The town’s radio station will also broadcast an unrivalled programme on home matchdays directly from One Call Stadium, thus providing an extensive preview of that day’s match in the build-up to kick-off.

Operations DIrector Tina Broughton said: “Following discussions throughout the summer, we’re very pleased to be continuing this agreement over away match commentary rights with Mansfield 103.2.

Mrs Broughton added: “Similar to last year, we also plan to work with the radio station and all local media throughout this season on several key initiatives, which are for the enjoyment of supporters.”

Mansfield 103.2's Head of Sport, Jason Harrison, said: "Mansfield 103.2 are absolutely thrilled to be able to bring exclusive commentary for away games to our listeners as well as a full matchday experience for all home matches.

"The deal continues our long-standing commitment to covering the Stags and will ensure that supporters get the coverage that the vast majority of other League Two sides will envy.

"We are also delighted to announce that the Friday Night Football Forum returns on August 8th (6pm) for its fourth season, packed full of Stags news, interviews, competitions and studio guests.

"Mansfield 103.2 is very much looking forward to working closely with the club over the season which we're sure will be another successful one for Paul Cox and the players."

In addition to away match commentaries, the only place where fans will be able to hear exclusive full-match commentary on home fixtures is Stags Player, the club’s online premium subscription service.

Supporters can subscribe to Stags Player – and take advantage of many other benefits including pre and post-match interviews, extended highlights and behind-the-scenes footage of life at One Call Stadium by visiting www.player.mansfieldtown.net.
