The Football League has revealed that Mansfield Town are one of 16 teams who will receive a bye in the First Round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Our team, who are set to compete in the Northern Section of the draw, will now enter at the Second Round stage alongside Chesterfield, Rotherham United and York City, amongst others, who have also received byes.
The Second Round of the competition takes place w/c 7th October.
Only teams from League One and League Two compete in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, and the final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 30th March 2014.
