We are pleased to announce the signing of winger James Caton on loan for a month, ahead of today's opening match against Carlisle United.
The 21-year-old wingman joins Adam Murray’s side from Shrewsbury Town and will be immediately competing for a place in the squad.Caton started his career at Blackpool and enjoyed loan spells at both Accrington Stanley and Chester City before making the switch to Shrewsbury last summer on a free transfer.
After making a handful of first-team appearances for The Shrews last season, Caton spent a month on loan at Southport before returning to his parent club for the rest of the season.
