Palmer could miss Oxford clash

14 November 2013

Striker Ollie Palmer could miss Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match with Oxford United after suffering a slight hamstring tear.

Boss Paul Cox confirmed the news at this morning’s press meeting.

He said: “We might be missing Ollie Palmer for the weekend. He’s got a slight strain in his hamstring and we’re going to test him before the weekend.

“It seems to be that when we’ve got a settled side, we don’t get little injuries, we get quite nasty ones.

“But whatever side plays, as long as we show the mindset [as we did at St Albans City] then I’ll be happy, because when we have a good mindset, we don’t lose many games.”

Meanwhile, in more positive news, trio Martin Riley, Ryan Tafazolli and Chris Clements, who has recently spent time at St George’s Park, are all set to return to training tomorrow.
