Central midfielder Keiran Murtagh has today signed for us on a free transfer from Macclesfield Town.
The 24-year old, a former Charlton Athletic trainee, has previously played for Yeovil Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Cambridge United, amongst others.
“The club seems very ambitious and wants to compete in the next division. These are exciting times here," said Murtagh, speaking to the club's website www.mansfieldtown.net
“The club's ambition of wanting to push on and progress in the Football League was a big factor in me signing here.”
Murtagh is the third new addition at One Call Stadium during the close season, following the signings of Jamie McGuire and Paul Black.
His contract will commence on 01 July 2013.
