Micky Moore returns to Stags

08:55 30th November 2013

Micky Moore has officially re-joined us this morning in the role of first team coach, we are pleased to announce.

The 40-year-old has left his post as assistant manager of Nuneaton Town, where he has helped guide the club to fifth in the Conference Premier division.

The ex-Solihull Moors boss played a key role as Paul Cox's number two in the 2011-12 Conference Premier season, when our team finished third in the league, and was defeated only five times throughout that campaign.

On returning to One Call Stadium, Micky told  "I'm glad to be back. Mansfield is a fantastic club with a fantastic set of supporters and chairman, who has a long-term vision of success. I want to be a part of history at Mansfield Town and help take the club forward.  I am coming here to enhance the coaching staff and to help the manager.

"I leave Nuneaton Town in fifth position in the Conference Premier, the highest ranked part-time club in English football, who have been defeated on only five occasions this season. I am pleased with my efforts at Nuneaton - they are an excellent club. But this is a new project for me and one which I am very much looking forward to."
