FEBRUARY HALF-TERM FOOTBALL COURSES

We will once again be running our half-term football courses next month.

The sessions will run daily from Monday 17 February – Friday 21 February (8.30am – 5.30pm), and cost £12 per day.

Ages: 6 – 11 and 12 – 14, for both boys and girls.

We will be coaching the fundamentals of football, e.g. passing, shooting, heading, dribbling, etc, all in the form of fun and enjoyable game related sessions. There will also be lots more indoor fun with youngsters able to play computer games, table football, pool and table tennis.

*Additional charges will apply to any scheduled trip days. Check our Facebook page for full details.

CHRISTMAS PARTY SUCCESS

Over 50 children attended our annual Christmas party, which was held at Rainy Days Play Centre in conjunction with the Stags Supporters Association (SSA).

The children enjoyed indoor fun and games, as well as a disco. They also got to meet Stags players Liam Marsden and Jack Thomas, who had fun bouncing around the bouncy castle.

Santa Claus made a special appearance to spread some Christmas cheer and give the children gifts, whilst Sammy the Stag and Sammy Jnr also came along to the party.

We wish to say a big thank you to Sammy the Stag, who also provided the food, drink and sweets.

FOOTBALL LEAGUE KIDS CUP

The half-time entertainment at our match with Scunthorpe United was the final of the Football League Kids Cup, between Holly Primary School and Ravenshead Primary School.

The winners progress to the regional final stages at Chesterfield in March.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!

Jacob Abbott celebrated his birthday with us here at Football in the Community last week. We hope he had a fantastic day.

LAST SATURDAY'S MASCOTS

We had five mascots at our recent home match with Scunthorpe United.

Three-year-old Jack Giles goes to Kirkby Woodhouse Primary School. Jack’s main interests are watching the Stags with his Dad and Granddad and playing football with his brother. His favourite player is Alan Marriott.

Kori Byrne, aged 4, is a pupil at King Edward Primary School. Kori is a big football fan and also likes Eddie Stobart trucks and trailers. His favourite players are Alan Marriott and Matt Rhead.

Benjamin Taylor, aged 7, attends Samuel Barlow Primary School. Benjamin likes to watch TV, football and enjoys swimming. His favourite player is Lee Beevers.

Nine-year-old Bradley Selby goes to Python Hill Primary School. Bradley plays football for Rainworth Rangers and Santos Juniors – something which he really enjoys. His favourite player is Louis Briscoe.

Finally, Oliver Thompson, aged 10, attends Forest Town School. Oliver enjoys watching football and collecting Match Attax cards. His favourite player is Sam Clucas.

We hope all five youngsters had a wonderful afternoon with us at One Call Stadium.
