Bermuda international joins Mansfield Town – subject to international clearance.

We are pleased to announce that versatile playmaker Reggie Lambe has signed for Mansfield Town - subject to international clearance.

Lambe has operated in a variety of positions during his relatively short career to date including right-back, right-wing, centre-midfield and as a frontman.

Born in Hamilton, Bermuda, the 23-year-old began his career in the academy ranks at Ipswich Town.

Lambe featured frequently in the Tractor Boys’ reserves in 2009/10, scoring 11 goals in 29 outings, and he impressed boss Roy Keane sufficiently enough to be given his professional debut for a League Cup tie at Shrewsbury Town in August 2009.

After making five league appearances for Ipswich and spending time on loan at Bristol Rovers in 2011/12, the youngster joined Toronto FC in December 2011.

Lambe featured on 55 occasions during two seasons in the Major League Soccer (MLS), but when Toronto began signing high-profile players, such as Jermaine Defoe, he became a free agent.

A three-month spell at Nyköpings BIS in Sweden followed, where he scored once in 12 appearances, before he returned to the United Kingdom and spent time on trial with us.

Lambe also boasts good pedigree at international level, having made his full debut for Bermuda aged just 16 – thus becoming the youngster-ever Ipswich Town player to receive full international honours.

To date, the 23-year-old has received 15 caps for Bermuda and his team-mates include Nakhi Wells of Huddersfield Town.
