Versatile midfielder Junior Brown has signed on a permanent deal until the end of the season, the club are pleased to announce.
The 25-year-old has impressed during five appearances since joining from Oxford United on an initial loan deal in late November.He collected two sponsors' Man-of-the-Match awards in both home games in which he played.
Brown, who has played out on the wing and in an attacking-midfield role, has signed a deal until the end of the season, subject to clearance from the Football Association and Football League. The club also has an option to activate a clause to extend his contract, if necessary.
Manager Adam Murray said this afternoon:Â âAfter a lot of hard work, we have managed to secure the signature of Junior Brown.
âOver the past few weeks, I am sure that our fans will have seen what Junior âbrings to the table.â
âHe is a superb footballer with excellent ability and understands what it takes to be successful.â
On potential more acquisitions, the manager added: âBefore this transfer window opened, my objective was to bring in a balance of Football League experience and nous, and also the energy and enthusiasm of youth. I am on course to doing that.â
