Scan results reveal minor medial knee ligament injury.
Manager Paul Cox has revealed that on loan wing-back Kieron Freeman will be out of action for up to a fortnight, following scan results on the injury which forced him off in Tuesdayâs draw at Tranmere Rovers. The 22-year-old, who joined us on a three-month loan from Derby County earlier this month, sustained a knee injury just after the half-hour mark, and had to be replaced by Rob Taylor.
âHe [Kieron] has tweaked his medial ligament and I think heâll be one to two weeks,â said Cox.
Reflecting on our injury problems as a whole, our boss added: âIâve never had a situation like this before â not even as a player.
âEven the other night, it becomes a little bit surreal when a player goes down and you get the call to make changes, you wonder what weâve done.
âBut itâs part and parcel of the game. Itâs probably a one-off, because Iâve never been through it before, and weâve just got to get on with things. Nobody is going to feel sorry for us.â
