No goals, but a pleasing night for Academy Director John Ramshaw.
Our newly-founded Development Squad were held to a 0-0 draw by Hallam in their season curtain raiser at the Worksop Van Hire Stadium tonight.Despite enjoying large swathes of possession, our Development Squad couldn't find a goal against their defensive-minded counterparts from South Yorkshire.
Striker Ollie Roome enjoyed our best chance midway through the first half when he got on the end of Tommy Slone's fine cut-back, but he was unable to find the target.
Midfielder Rory Thomson also had a shot blocked in the closing stages as we piled on the pressure in search of a winner.
Hallam also had a few chances of their and could have taken three points on a different night, but Stags' shot-stopper Frazer Hampson did well to keep a clean-sheet.
Our Development Sqaud's next match is away at Matlock Town on Tuesday 26 August (7.45pm).
