Briscoe joins Nuneaton on loan

4 October 2013

Winger Louis Briscoe has today linked up with Conference Premier outfit Nuneaton Town on a one month loan deal.

The 25-year-old has been unable to break into the first team after starting the first two games of the season at Scunthorpe and Tranmere Rovers.

Said Manager Paul Cox:  "Towards the end of last week, Louis approached me and we had a chat regarding a potential loan move. We both agreed that, at some point, he will figure in our first 11 and so decided a month of first team football elsewhere in preparation would be beneficial for both parties."

He added. "Louis Briscoe will have a big part to play for us this season and this loan move should benefit him both physically and mentally."

In other news, defender George Pilkington has extended his loan stay at Forest Green Rovers by a further month.
