Our supporters will choose the club’s new home shirt for 2017-18, the club are pleased to announce.
For the first time, Stags fans can choose the strip they want the players to don next season.
Initially, Stags’ supporters are invited to use the club’s social media channels to post descriptions/sample images of how they would like to see next season’s home shirt. Fans have until Friday 05 August to put forward their ideas, using the hashtag #StagsNewShirt or e-mail info@mansfieldtown.net
From the ideas put forward, a panel at One Call Stadium will then draw up a shortlist of designs. Fans will then be able to choose their favourite strip via a poll through the club’s official website www.mansfieldtown.net.
Stadium director Paul Broughton said: “It is important that our fans have an input into the process of the new home strip for 2017-18 and we are looking forward to their suggestions and ideas.
“Our choices of home and away kits in recent years have been very well received by our fans, but we now want to give the supporters the opportunity to pick the club’s shirt as we mark our 120th year of existence"
In a rare move in the modern football age, the club has kept the current home shirt for two consecutive seasons to help supporters’ maximise their purchase on replica shirts.
Fans should ‘tag’ the club’s official social media accounts when providing descriptive detail/images of how they think the new home shirt should look:
