Dugouts moved after request from new boss

18 November 2016

The dugouts at One Call Stadium have been moved to the Ian Greaves Stand side of the ground ahead of tomorrow's eagerly anticipated match at home to Crawley Town.

In one of his first acts as the new Stags' gaffer, Steve Evans requested the transferring of the dugouts on Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking to www.mansfieldtown.net this afternoon, the new boss explained his decision to request the moving of the dugouts from the Bishop Street side of One Call Stadium: "I think it comes from my time coming to the One Call Stadium as an opposition manager [when] I always felt you got away lightly on the far side.

"I always felt that there was a lack of atmosphere and people behind the main home bench so the first thing I thought whenever I came here over the years was 'if I ever became the Mansfield Town manager I would move the benches across the pitch.

"Thankfully, the chairman and Mrs Radford and as importantly the health and safety committee at the Football Club have agreed to do so."

Supporters in the Ian Greaves Lower Tier (Block D & E) who wish to relocate their seat as a result of the change should contact the club via telephone: 01623 482 482 or call into the ticket office at One Call Stadium.

Tickets for the match can be bought online via www.stagstickets.co.uk or on the day of the game at the ticket office at One Call Stadium.
