Highly-regarded left-back Sean Kavanagh has been added to our ranks ahead of today's Sky Bet League Two match at home to Luton Town.
The 21-year-old links up with us until the end of the season on loan from Fulham.
The Dublin-born defender has made 25 appearances for the Cottagers, mostly in the Championship, and has represented his native Ireland at under 21 level.
Speaking to www.mansifieldtown.net, he said: “Mansfield are a club that are aiming for the play-offs. It’ll be good for me to be a part of that push and to get some game-time under my belt.”
After taking part in his first training with his new team-mates yesterday, Kavanagh said: “I can tell they’re a close knit bunch. They’ve helped me adapt quickly.”
He has been allocated squad number 23.
