Youngsters enjoy Carvery and Fire Station tripsMascot Details
The mascot for our home match against Accrington Stanley was youngster Gareth Maude.
The eight-year-old, who recently celebrated his birthday with us, enjoyed a football party, during which he received a fantastic new away shirt and autographed football.
Gareth also likes tennis, computer games and cars and his favourite player is midfielder Chris Clements.
Well done Archie!
Archie Rowbotham recently completed a cycle ride from Shirebrook to Skegness in a bid to raise money and awareness about Macmillan Cancer Support.
Archie completed the journey in four-and-a-half hours and would like to thank those who sponsored him, including Brunts Academy, Shirebrook Stags Supporters Association and ourselves.
We extended a warm welcome to One Call Stadium to a disability football group called Spectrum Wasp, who provided the half-time entertainment for our match with Accrington Stanley.
We hope this was a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
Nottinghamshire Sport Heritage Weekend
Our hard-working team here at Football in the Community recently visited the market place in Mansfield to promote the Nottinghamshire Sport Heritage celebrations.
Our staff took our hugely-popular inflatable speed tunnel to the event, so the public could test the power in their shot in miles per hour. The event also enabled us to promote some of our other activities.
